Preparing for Your Sound Session
Creating the Right Conditions for the Work
These sessions are held within a therapeutic framework. The environment is intentionally structured to support nervous system regulation, clarity, and containment.
A few simple guidelines help protect the quality of the space for you and for others.
Arrival
Please arrive on time.
Doors are closed once the session begins to protect continuity and minimise disruption. Arriving a few minutes early allows you to settle without urgency and transition from external activity into the room.
Clothing & Comfort
Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing suitable for lying down.
Mats and blankets are provided. You are welcome to bring your own blanket, cushion, or eye covering if preferred.
The aim is physical ease — nothing elaborate is required.
Phones & Devices
All phones must be fully switched off before entering the room.
Even silent notifications or vibrations disrupt regulation — not only for you, but for others.
Scent & Sensory Consideration
Please avoid strong perfumes or fragrances.
The nervous system is sensitive to sensory input, and we aim to keep the environment neutral and supportive for everyone present.
During the Session
The structure includes arrival, immersion, and integration.
Once the sound work begins, movement and interaction are kept minimal to preserve group containment.
There is no expectation to feel a particular way. Experiences vary. Some sessions feel deeply restful; others may bring subtle awareness or reflection.
There is nothing to perform and nothing to achieve.
After the Session
Take your time before leaving.
Allow a few minutes to transition rather than moving immediately back into activity. Hydration and gentle pacing after the session can support integration.
A Note on Shared Space
Groups are intentionally limited to eight clients.
This allows responsive facilitation and ensures the space remains held, rather than anonymous.
Each person’s presence contributes to the overall rhythm of the room.
Respecting the structure protects the experience for everyone.
